Ladies Two Bowl Singles Semi-Finalists
Under sunny skies last Saturday, the ladies of Suffolk enjoyed participating in the two bowl Singles competition at Hadleigh Bowling Club. Ipswich Ladies BC 90th Anniversary Celebration
Ipswich Ladies BC recently celebrated their 90th anniversary with a drive and celebration tea at Malborough BC. ECL Match Report vs. Bedfordshire
Suffolk’s first away game of the 2026 season was at Potton BC, a change from the original venue caused by a local music festival clashing with this match. After battling through the A428 roadworks we finally arrived at the venue and were warmly welcomed by club and county officials. Suffolk kick off their 2026 Balcomb Trophy campaign with three Eastern Region group matches at County Arts BC, Norwich on Saturday 30th May. Suffolk officers, families and supporters are very welcome to attend to encourage our team to victory. 2025 Eastern Counties Finals
The 2025 Eastern Counties Finals will be held on Sunday, 10 May 2026 at Royston BC and Buntingford BC The Eastern Counties Finals are the winners of each Counties respective County Finals competing to become regional champions. The Finals are held early in the following season. This is because in 2022 there wasn’t enough calendar space to hold the Finals at the end of the season due to England hosting the Commonwealth Games. ECL Match Report vs. Cambridgeshire
Yesterday marked the start of Suffolk’s 2026 Eastern Counties League campaign. The first, and only, home match took place at the beautiful East Bergholt BC against Cambridgeshire. Due to Cambridgeshire’s inability to field an Under 25 set, the match consisted of four standard rinks and an Executive rink. Cambridgeshire had their noses in front after the first five ends, leading 24 - 26 but Suffolk began to exert control and by ten ends had reversed the positions to lead 47 -

Gwenda Rednall
Suffolk Bowls (BE) is sad to hear of the passing of Gwenda Rednall. Gwenda lost her battle with Alzheimars on Thursday 12 March, at home, peacefully, with her son, John, at her side. Gwenda's Suffolk Bowling career spanned approximately sixty years and she was a long serving John's Trophy and Walker Cup skip, lifting both national titles. Gwenda was a regular qualifier at the EWBA finals and was a prolific county champion, winning the Suffolk County Fours eight times, Triples

The draws for the Mixed and Men's 2026 County competitions are now live on the competition portal. Entrants should have received emails to the addresses registered to their accounts. The draw took place yesterday in the presence of County President David Jolly, Competition Secretary Adrian Beecroft and Assistant Competition Secretary Ben Beamish. Yes, the competition portal closes for 2026 competition entries at 11.59pm tomorrow night so act now if you haven't entered the County competitions. Every entry into the Blue Riband events also increases the County's chance of have two entries instead of one in that category at the National Finals.
