Mixed Fours League Champions - Felixstowe and Suffolk

A well contested Mixed Fours league culminated in the top 2 teams playing off for the Mixed Fours trophy in the final match of the season between Felixstowe & Suffolk Blue and Framlingham Castle was held at Ipswich & District Bowls Club on 29th August.

The game started in persistent rain and credit must be given to all the players for playing in what was not the best of conditions, however, after about 30 minutes the rain stopped and a good contest between 2 well matched teams ensued with Felixstowe & Suffolk proving victorious by 46 – 40!

Following the match the trophy was presented by Dave Sarjeant, the Mixed Leagues Secretary to Steve Giles, captain of the F&S Blue team with formal presentation to be made at the County Luncheon in November.
