Last Sunday saw Suffolk, managed by Ryan Claxton, play their first game in the White Rose Trophy, the Junior Inter-County competition. The match was played at Rookery BC and the visitors were Huntingdonshire
The competition is for two rinks of four players over 21 ends, two bowls each player. The Suffolk sets were as follows...
Eddie Addison Alfie Euston
Harry Giles Nathan Reeder
Liam Harris Ryan Hard
Charlie Beeton (Skip) Joe Sims (Skip)
Charlie Beetons' set had a hard fought match against the Hunts boys led by Sam Brugnoli. After going behind early on, the visitors fought back to take the game by 4 shots. On the other rink, Joe Sims and the boys took the lead from the off and were in control all the way through, finally beating Mack May's set by 11 shots.
Final Score: Suffolk 41 - 34 Huntingdonshire
