Suffolk vs Essex ECL Match Report

And Now We Wait…

The Suffolk team arrived at Brantham Athletic BC with a quiet determination to give themselves the best possible chance to be ECL Champions for 2023.

Starting the game one point behind leaders Hertfordshire the team, a good blend of youth and experience, got off to a slow start with several rinks dropping shots but gradually built up momentum with several rinks building decisive leads in the middle section of the game.

By the last end, we had four rinks winning comfortably, one saving the win on the skips' shots and the last rink coming back valiantly from behind but finally losing by a single shot.

The Suffolk boys gave a great account of themselves under pressure to get a good result and now that pressure gets passed on to Hertfordshire who must equal or better our result to take the title,

So that’s an unbeaten campaign under manager Adrian Beecroft, a great team spirit and a solid foundation to build on for the future. Well done lads!

Final Score: Suffolk 135 Essex 99 Match Score: Suffolk 20 points Essex 2 points

Top rink was….the Executive rink!!  Randolph Ford, Gordon Ball, Ryan Claxton and John Rednall 27-17
