Suffolk's ECL title bid came to a halt at Hadleigh BC on Saturday morning
In a game that started out in the traditional British Bank Holiday weather -rain- Suffolk suffered their first setback of the campaign. Suffolk were unable to contain strong Herts team which featured a blend of experience and youth
The silver lining to the match was the fact that we never gave up. Every rink realised the importance of shot difference in the League and did their utmost to reduce it. This was shown to be vital as the League now stands as follows
1. Norfolk 43 points +43 shot diff.
2. Suffolk 42 points +46 shot diff.
3. Herts 39 points +39 shot diff,
For the Statos amongst you, an interesting feature this season is that, of the seven games played so far, five have been away wins
Final Score: Suffolk 113 - 124 Hertfordshire
Points Score: Suffolk 4 - 18 Hertfordshire
Top Suffolk Rink: Mark Betts, Clive Webb, Mark Todd, Phil Last
Our final match of the season is away to Essex at Maldon BC on 29 June with a 10.30am start. Thank you to everyone that turned up to support the team and to Hadleigh BC for hosting the match
