On Saturday Suffolk entertained Bedfordshire in their second game of the Eastern Counties League.

In warm conditions at the Rookery Bowls Club Stowmarket, the game remained on a knife edge throughout.

The green having been well prepared for the game, inspired both sides with all rinks producing many close heads.

With the game entering the final stages, Suffolk held on to secure victory by 2 shots.

Suffolk 110 v Bedfordshire 108. Suffolk achieved 3 winning rinks to show a 16 – 4 points victory.

Joint winning rinks this week both by 9 shots and both winning 13 ends a piece
