The 2024 Mini-Finals, held at Ipswich BC, wrapped up the individual County competitions for the season. For those of you unfamiliar with the Mini-Finals, these are the County competitions that do not lead to the National Finals at Leamington.
Even if these competitions finish at County level, the quality was as high as the temperature on the day! There was fierce competition in the Ladies Champion of Champions with Julie Spice just edging out Maria Brooks and a marathon session between Colin Sharp and Mick Butcher in the Men's Unbadged Singles with Colin coming out on top after 28 ends!
These were only two of the highlights and there was good bowls all over the green, watched by an engrossed crowd of supporters
Our thanks go to Ipswich BC for hosting the Finals, Adrian Beecroft and Julie Spice for sharing the umpiring duties, Immediate Past President Gordon Ball and Junior VP David Jolly for presenting the trophies.
Finally, as ever, we'd like to say a big thank you to Paul Wildon who took these photographs, as well as the pictures of the Ladies winners in the Gallery section - top man!
