Johns Trophy vs. Norfolk Match Report

Suffolk Ladies travelled to County Arts BC to play Norfolk on Saturday, knowing this is always a hard fought game whenever the two counties play each other. Norfolk were obviously looking to revenge their defeat from last year at Haughley.

Suffolk started strongly and after 5 ends were 6 shots ahead, the game continued to be very close with Lucy Ratcliffe’s rink coming right back at their opposition, and on the 16th end there was still only 2 shots difference overall.

The Green played very well despite the inclement weather, it felt more like November than June.

Norfolk ran out eventually winners 99-93 shots winning on 4 rinks, so scored 18 points to Suffolk 4.

Well played to the 3 players who were making their debut today N Drummond, C McNaul and S Baker, and good luck to Nayara and Chelsea in the England U18's trials at Leamington tomorrow.
