ECL Match 4 Norfolk vs. Suffolk Match Report

Suffolk on their travels once more arrived at County Arts in Norwich for their fourth game having won the previous three in convincing style.

This was always billed as a must win and all the travelling supporters were not disappointed.

After 5 ends Suffolk were 5 up but dropped to 2 behind after 10. However Suffolk picked up the pace quickly after that and by 15 ends were + 7 with the final result.

Winning rink this week goes to Graham Howlett, Gary Hard, Steve Giles and David Andrews with + 14.

Our under 25 rink this week showed real determination against strong Norfolk opposition and going into the last end 2 down, picked up two shots to finish with a very credible draw.

Leading the league table with 63 points after 4 games the final game against Essex is at Frinton Bowls Club on 27th June.

Our Under 25 league table also shows Suffolk on top with 5 points and with a win at Frinton in two weeks, which would be enough to secure the league title in this inaugural year.
