Balcomb Trophy Team News

Suffolk kick off their 2026 Balcomb Trophy campaign with three Eastern Region group matches at County Arts BC, Norwich on Saturday 30th May. Suffolk officers, families and supporters are very welcome to attend to encourage our team to victory.

In the first match (9.30am) Suffolk will play Huntingdonshire, then Cambridgeshire at 1.00pm and Norfolk at 4pm. The group winners will then go on to the quarter-finals.

Last season, the same Suffolk team, with the exception of Lee Calver, who is not available, performed fantastically well, beating Hertfordshire, Middlesex and Kent, before losing narrowly to Essex. Such was the high standard of performance, I have named the following combinations:

John Rednall, Phil Last ( three bowl pairs, 18 ends)

Joe Sims, Mark Euston, Mark Royal (two bowl triples, 18 ends)

Roger Adams/Adam Turner (job share), Liam Stevens, Charlie Beeton and Elliot Last (fours, 15 ends)
