The day started with the weather forecast looking dreadful, however when the buoyant Suffolk ladies team arrived at Haughley the sun was shining and the green looked excellent.
Today’s opposition, Norfolk, were as always confidant of getting a win over their near rivals, and not having played each other for a few years there was everything to play for.
Suffolk had opted for a mix of experience combined with some new faces who had impressed the selectors at the trials.
The rain held off and as the game progressed Suffolk’s confidence grew in the belief that they could actually beat Norfolk.
All rinks dug in hard and the final result was a 15 shot 118-103, (18 points to 4) win to Suffolk
